It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
It has been a while since I have updated, so there is a lot to remember. Back before Halloween, Brittany and I went to the Taylor Swift concert with Kappi and Natalie Allen in Little Rock, Arkansas. We had so much fun. We drove to Little Rock on the Saturday of the concert, and we spent the day shopping and eating. We were staying at the Hilton, only a couple of blocks from where the concert was. The concert was absolutely phenomenal. Kellie Pickler opened up for Taylor Swift, and both girls were truly amazing. It was such a memorable weekend with my daughter.
We spent several other weekends in October traveling to watch Tyler play baseball. The last tournament ended pretty quickly, but the boys did play their hearts out. No more baseball until the spring.
Halloween came and went. Thanksgiving holidays were extremely busy, but enjoyable to say the least. On the weekend before Thanksgiving, Mama, Brittany, April, Allie, and I went to Memphis to do some Christmas shopping. We shopped all day Saturday, ate dinner at the Olive Garden, and went to see New Moon. AHHHH..... that was the absolute best!!!!! Brittany and I were just in heaven. Mama and April really didn't care that much about it; therefore, they enjoyed laughing at me practically hyperventilating over Robert Pattinson. Anyway, after the movie, we spent the night at the Drury Suites, then headed home the next morning. On that Sunday, we shopped at Batesville's Holiday Open House. We rode in a horse-drawn carriage around the square, enjoyed some hot chocolate and desserts, and bought a few more presents. On Monday, my daddy, Shannon, and I began a 3 day renovation of Brittany's bedroom. We painted the ceiling and walls, pulled up carpet, changed the light fixture, put down new flooring, and refinished her entertainment center. Although it was a lot of work, it turned out absolutely precious. We are still waiting on her new bed to arrive, but she is loving the look of her new space.
Thanksgiving Day was spent with my family in Batesville. Mama's food was delicious as always. Because of the busy week we had, I took a wonderful nap after dinner. So the day and the rest of the weekend were very restful. I am so thankful for such a loving and wonderful family.
Tyler's birthday is next, then Christmas follows. I am so ready for a break from work, and the kids are ready for a break from school. We have the tree decorated, presents wrapped, and the Christmas spirit is ever present. After a few more basketball games, Tyler's Christmas program, and Tyler's birthday there will be even more to tell about! Merry Christmas everyone! Love, The Hollands.
