Fun Weekend!

It is very rare that my best friend, Rachael, and her family and mine actually go OUT to do something. We usually just sit around my house. Well, Scotty graciously treated us to a wonderful night at Crawdad's...with ALL of the children. We had a great night of food and fun. The funny thing was when we were headed to our table, there was a table full of elderly men and women. And they looked at our crew coming in, and they seemed to be thinking..."Don't y'all know how to get a baby-sitter" or "Have you ever heard of birth control." They just stared, and we just laughed. When the five of our kids are together they ARE somewhat wild, but we just let them have fun. They're only kids once.

That was Friday night! Last night, the Branch's came over for the evening to cook out. Rach and I like to sit on my comfy bed and watch Lifetime, chat, and she likes to look at blogs and facebook (b/c she is computer illiterate and does none of that)lol! That is what we do while the men cook and watch ballgames. And she and I just beg the children to leave us alone. The boys usually spend time playing playstation until they get bored and want to run around playing hide and seek (which nearly puts us under)! Luckily, Brittany was very helpful with the little girls, Lesley and Rachey. She gave them manicures and pedicures, fixed their hair, and put make-up on them. Then Rachy dressed up like a princess, so I will post pics of all of that later, too. All in all, it was just nice to sit in on such a rainy evening and spend time with Rachael, whom I love dearly!

We missed church this morning b/c I had a horrible migraine, which I still have, and can't seem to get rid of. Rach called me and said, "Well, you ARE going next week." I said, "OK, Rachael." Then my sweet parents brought over a new breakfast table that they bought for me, and I'm so proud of it. My lovely Malteses ate the cushions off my chairs of my other table set. But, I was in need of a new one anyway. I'm so thankful for my parents buying me one...it is for my birthday, which is coming up (too quickly). Well, until I get my new computer cord in and can post pics, I guess that's it for now! I think I'll take a nap since it is another rainy day! TTFN

Catching up!

I haven't posted in quite a while because my computer cord has a short in it, and my new one has yet to arrive. Although I can't post any new pictures until I am using my own computer, I can update y'all on what's been going on with the Holland's. Since spring break, we have been playing baseball and softball non-stop. Shannon is coaching Tyler's team, and I am helping him coach Brittany's team. We practiced both teams a couple of times a week, and now games have finally begun. I can't wait to post pictures. Tyler's team is 3-0 already! He pitched an awesome game one night, and I was soooo proud of him. Tyler, Landon, and his best bud, Jacob alternate pitching. They can only pitch so many innings a week. This fast pitch league is all new to me. My baby is growing up. Tyler also plays short stop when he's not pitching. Their team is looking really good!!!

Brittany's team is 1-0 right now. Her second game was rained out Saturday. She is pitching also, and she only walked two people in her very first game. She is a very solid pitcher! She struggled at bat during her first game, but it was just nerves. She'll get out of that soon! I am so proud of my athletes!

We also spent a wonderful Easter with my family since I posted last. We spent part of the weekend at the lake with my parents and my brother's family. We ate crawfish, let the kids run around in the woods (which Tyler later regretted b/c he ended up covered in poison ivy), rode the golf carts, and dyed Easter eggs outside. Then we went back to Batesville and spent the night with my parents. The Easter bunny still came to see Britt and Tyler (9 and 12 year olds still love the Easter bunny), and then we went to church with my parents and both of my brothers and their families. This year the older children hid the Easter eggs and let the younger ones find them. This gave us adults somewhat of a break. It was a beautiful weekend, but a little chilly. However, it was a wonderful time spent with family.

PICS WILL BE COMING THIS WEEK!!!!
