My Daddy's Suprise Bday Party

My mom, my brothers and their families, and me and my crew planned a Hawaiin Luau surprise party for my daddy. The food was delicious. The cake was beautiful. And sooo much fun was had, but to top it off....my daddy was actually surprised!!!

Shannon cooked delicous shish-ka-bobs (Hawaiin Style), and we had plenty of fruit as well as other snacks. The decorations were perfect for the ocassion. We hula-hooped, played limbo, and bowled with coconuts and pineapples. It was a fabulous time!!!

Vacation 2009

We finally got out of Clarksdale for a vacation. We went down to the coast to Wiggins to visit with Shannon's parents. We had planned to head on over to Orange Beach after that visit, but we never made it. Nevertheless, we had a great time.

I had a great time fishing off the pier on Grams and PawPaw's pond with the kids. At one point, it was just Brittany, Tyler, and me. Brittany caught a huge catfish, but it broke the line. Then I caught a really big one, got it up on the pier, but I had no idea how to get it off the hook. So, Tyler and I stepped on it...very lightly, and Brittany got some pliers. I then managed to get the hook out of the fish's mouth, and we kicked it back in the water. Soon after, I caught another big one, and we had to perform the same thing with that fish. They quit biting after that! I think those two fish warned their friends that the crazy lady with the pliers was after them. LOL.... memorable times!!!

Our best friends, Rachael and Scotty Branch, and their children joined us for a couple of days, so that was fun...especially for the children. After the Branch's left, Jacob stayed with us, then we headed to Diamondhead to visit with my friend Bug Faust Broussard and her family. We ate dinner with them, sat on the patio watching the sun set on the bayou, and watched the children swim. It was a very pleasant evening.

Then on to the waterpark. The kids had a blast, but so did Shannon and I. We spent several hours at Waveland in Gulfport and got plenty of sun and lots of playtime with the kids.

Eating out, shopping, slip & sliding, fishing, sitting on the bayou, and playing at the waterpark was a fine enough vacation for any family!
